USC - Masters of Business for Veterans

What are your thoughts? Intuitively, a way to take advantage of the (now rightfully outrageous) GI Bill. A good friend of mine is a SEAL and is jumping in next cohort. Obviously not on par with an MBA...but more of a generalized masters in business with a focus on leadership and strategy.
The best part is, 10 months part-time program. Zero opportunity cost.
Maybe worth a look for vets?

In this article they seem to be pitching it as an accelerated MBA for Veterans.
What do you think is outrageous about the gI bill? The program seems to move fairly quick to provide a thorough understanding of finance related subjects. However, would never hurt for employment outside of the military.
It's not outrageous in a negative sense. I used it for undergrad, and it paid for over half of my 200k tuition AND 2k a month for rent when class was in session. Snagged a $20/hr internship each summer and was good to go. Opened up a world of opportunities for me.
But this epic program did not go unnoticed by universities across the US. Plenty of top schools have new programs and recruiting efforts sprouting up to solicit veterans. This new GI Bill is only about 8/9 years old. Curious timing...so I always question the intentions of programs like these.
Ok, I was wondering if you thought it was bad. I used Montgomery and finished off with post 9/11, and it definitely helped me a ton. Big step up from a check a month.
I agree that a lot of programs do seem to find it as a way to bring in veterans, which is good and bad. Legitimate schools I have no issue with trying to bring in veterans a students (CC, Tech, Uni). However, we all know that people get sucked into the degree mills and end up losing value on what they could get for there service in terms of school quality. The biggest issue I have with this program is 'MBV' title. If it is truly an equivalent to an MBA then make sure the end result is the same and give it the proper title.
