UT MSF vs UT MPA?

I'm thinking about applying to one of them later this year. I'm an international applicant and my goal is IB and I know that it's going to be hard to get there... So my plan is to start out at big 4 tas or consulting and transition to IB from there. My question is which program should I apply to? I can't decide because their MPA is a safe program(placements wise)and I might not get a job with MSF in big 4 if can't break into IB.

UT's MPA program is one of the top ranked programs out there and it does place some candidates into banking, so I would probably go with that. It's certainly more of a "sure thing" than the MSF program since you'll have good backup options in accounting.

The question you need to be asking yourself is whether you're comfortable working in Big 4 for awhile if you don't get a IB job immediately. If you have no interest in all at doing accounting then you should probably do the MSF program, or consider another alternative.
