UVA McIntire or U of M?
Hi, I am a senior trying to decide between UVA and U of M
At UVA I probably will double major with McIntire and (computer engineering/CS). On the other hand at U of M I prob will major Computer engineering/cs and get a Ross minor.
Costs:
UVA - Instate so I'll probably pay around 80k
U of M - with scholarships probably around 180k
Other factors to consider:
I don't think I will have trouble getting into McIntire because of my summer internship.
I don't want to double major at U of M because it will take 5 years to graduate.
Thanks for you help!
What do you want to do post grad? If you want to do banking, McIntire all the way, particularly with the cost difference.
Post grad prob go into banking. I also want to get an MBA. Thanks for you comment!
McIntire for sure, especialy with the cost difference and the alternative being living in Ann Arbor for four years...
Is Ann Arbor a bad place to live? I went there seemed pretty nice. A little cold though.
It's a bad place to live per se--in fact usually ranked among the best places to live. It's just the weather, the lack of much to do, and again the weather.
UVA, no question. There is no marginal benefit to Michigan that justifies the extra 100k. Recruiting out of McIntire is solid.
Thanks for your advice!
Go to Mich so I don't have more competition next year. Otherwise, I will have to destroy you in the classroom! Hehe
LOL
