UVA MS Commerce offer, need more info

Hi everyone, I just got an offer from UVA MS Commerce Finance Track. I know this is a great program (I'm on WSO for a while now). I also talked to a current student there, although not in details, and I had an admission chat with their deputy dean, but I don't feel that those are enough.

They have a very, very detailed placement report, but that's not the full picture. Their class size is ~120 each year, plus or minus. But the student numbers on the placement report doesn't match.

My career goal: either IB or management consulting. Currently in my gap year, doing an ER internship in a west-coast MM. I don't like the hours of banking/ER...especially when you need to wake up at 4am in the morning every day... consulting hours are better than this, and I'm okay with traveling a lot.

I'm international. The downside of UVA is no STEM.

Any insights on them? Thank you very much.

@TNA" I'd especially appreciate your help TNA

I went to UVA undergrad (in the commerce school) and am very familiar with the MS program... Feel free to dm me with specific questions but it is a generally excellent program that definitely sends the top of its class to MBB and BB IB.

Academically, the program is rigorous. If you decide to come, be ready to work your ass off. Between school and the job search, you'll have very little free time. But if you're looking for a high-caliber program and a springboard into management consulting, look no further.
