Valuation exp + semi-target MSc for ER

I simply can't get enough rejection for ER positions. I tried my best to have at least some internships but I just can't get any. I took a valuation job at a b4 firm and am just trying to establish myself here until my masters starts in September. Just anxious about my prospects in ER in London, given that my school is lower tier target of semi-target.

I will continue to try my best to get any ER/IB experience in the meantime but I can't think it will get shiny from here. For valuation I'm rotating between different functions and am learning a lot of investment intuition and modeling skills.

Is it possible to make it to ER with only valuation experience?

Oh. I can't think of a postgrad school that would be a semi from the continent and still hit heavy. Fair enough, if it does it does.

How long have you been in the Val job? Is there an ACA equivalent?

If you're just applying for grad jobs, the Val experience should be fine BUT ER is absolutely tiny even in London. Not many straight up grad jobs (without going through SA) going around. And idk if they'd take you on as an analyst 2 without a full ACA (or equivalent) since that's normally the level you come in at if you go that route. However that doesn't mean you have no chance, all you need is one success, just the logistics kind of work against you a bit.

I think I didn't word this correctly. What I mean by getting into ER is exactly SA, then convert it from there haha. Of course I know better than to think going straight to ft is possible.

Also I'm not a native speaker so "heavily" might not be the correct word. What I mean is that they have a track record of sending students to London as a primary destination.

I'm not sure if ACA is big here. I'm thinking about CFA though, both to make myself a better candidate for ER and to brace for exits like AM and L/s HF
