Virginia Tech MSF program

Apparently Virginia Tech has an MSF program but I have not seen anyone on WSO even mention it. Would anyone care to share any inside information or their opinion on their program in terms of regional recruiting competition, alumni network, strenght of the program, etc.?

I can't seem to find much other then their own info from

http://www.grads.vt.edu/graduate_catalog/UI.jsp?u…

Most schools have a MS in finance or something related because it is a path to a PhD or it is awarded in lieu of a PhD. A lot of programs like this will only have a couple students ( less than 5 ) who are pursuing the degree.

As a Hokie, I will say that the college of business finance program is up-and-coming, as in the undergraduate finance program is Virginia Tech's flagship program, placing plenty of students (myself included) into IB or other top finance shops. That said, there are probably better options currently for graduate school finance than VT (now for engineering and architecture, it's up there with the rest of 'em). But in 10-20 years, God only knows. That place is taking off like a rocket.
