Vlerick Business School vs UZH

Hello, I am applying for a master in Finance. I currently have offers from Strathclyde, USI Lugano and Vlerick Business School. Still waiting for UZH. In my point of view, Vlerick wins over both Strathclyde and USI so here comes the big question how Vlerick competes to UZH. From what I know Vlerick is highly ranked top20-25 in all rankings while UZH is not mentioned anywhere. Also Vlerick (MSc Financial Management) is more business-consulting oriented than UZH (MA Banking and Finance).
My profile is EU national, from a just recognizable (has produced some professors even at Harvard but not international recognized uni) University in Banking and Financial management, with no GMAT and average grades.
Also if someone knows what are the PhD potentials in schools like LSE, Imperial, Cass etc from these programs? (Still considering this path)
Thank you in advance.

UZH is very strong from an academic point of view, especially when it comes to quant fin, financial economics and to some extent corporate finance. They are also very good in economics if you’re interested. If you get to know the right professor in these areas, a PhD in the UK is possible. The downside of the university’s theoretical focus is that it lacks the connections to the industry and the (international) brand name that other universities have. While this isn’t an issue when searching for a job in Switzerland, it may be a problem if you plan on working in another country.
