Vluation methods used in M&A deals by sector?

Hey!

I am writing my theses and it has some M&A content. I want to talk about the different valuation methods used in recent deals depending on the sector of the company in the American market.

In my country, our equivalent to the SEC, publishes a document with the valuation method used in the deal, and the grounds of the decision.

Is there anything similar for american deals?
