Voyager global
Title pretty much says it all. Anyone here have any high level idea on grant wonders' new fund, voyager global? Heard they've raised more than a billion and could see substantial upside in joining a fund like that early on. So would love to know
He was looking to replicate his portfolio from Viking, so small team focused on longer term investments based on secular trends. Believe it was going to be a fairly concentrated portfolio and mostly (if not exclusively) TMT
I did some digging up on him and learned that he's treated as a legend at viking. A bloomberg article said that he's known as the analyst who made the biggest profits for the firm in it's entire history of trading.
I think he long TSLA before the massive squeeze, that being why
Well name is a reference to 1977 Voyager missions if that means anything to you
Doesn’t feel like a good time to be launching a tiger style tmt fund.
this is blindingly obvious to everyone now
so prob means its one of the best times
I should work your logic into a pitch to my PM next time.
Have they hired any analysts?
yes
Just that 1 guy or more?
Bump
Anyone know who the headhunter for his firm is?
There is none. It’s just him and one guy for investments and then very light back office. I imagine even if he wanted to hire it would be a work connection in some way.
Anyone know how they're performing this year?
+50% because he’s a god. Has anyone mentioned he made a truck load of money back at Viking?
