Want to help a Summer Analyst supervisor?

Some quick background: I work at a BB in a BO role. Earlier this year I was involved in a being an interviewer at a Super Day and I asked for help from this very same WSO board at: https://www.wallstreetoasis.com/forums/want-to-he…

Some of you gave good advice and I used it in my interviews. Fast forward to present day, it turns out that I will be assigned a Summer Analyst and I will be their direct Supervisor. This was an unexpected surprise, but certainly welcome. Obviously, I've led teams before, but this is my first time with a dedicated SA and (quite frankly) working with someone young. You should also know that I did not interview this particular SA; they interviewed at another location at a different Super Day. All indications are that they are a competent candidate and they come from a large college in the midwest.

What have been some things that your past SA Supervisors have done for you that made you feel welcome? What did you like the most about your SA Supervisor? Are there any things you wish your Supervisor had done differently?
