Was I wrong in this situation?

I'm a rising sophomore interning at a startup accounting firm in NYC. Its currently my 5/6 week at the firm.

Today, I ran into two situations after the ceo gave us a day off short notice. First, the day before, my supervisor wanted me to discuss upcoming etp vs regular tax deadlines with her this morning. But now that the ceo told interns not to come into work if we were working directly with herself, I was unsure of what to do.

Second, the ceo wanted interns to complete their timesheets on Monday instead of our usual Thursday. This is a problem for me and another intern since the program liaising the internship required for us to submit it by Saturday.

The problem came up when I came into work today to get clarification. When I explained this to the ceo, she appeared to be guilting me rather than understanding the situation.

However, I can't help but think that I did something wrong. The other intern who is with my program didn't come into work for clarification. I didn't want to assume - especially since I'm dealing with my money. I could have sent a text as well but I wouldn't have been able to explain the situation clearly. Am I at fault here?
