Epic (now Aveanna) was a home run, Baymark will probably be a strong return despite the recently failed sale process
They have platforms in other popular HC sub-sectors with strong macro tailwinds like autism services, fertility and hospice
Can’t speak to consumer side
Don’t know too much about their culture but having met the managing partner and a current principal earlier in my career I can say they both seemed like good guys fwiw
I worked at a company where some equity partners came in and invested. Indeed there were maybe 10% layoffs. And yeah, benefits started getting cut. Luckily it did not affect my employment. Different vibe in the company from that point on though. More emphasis on getting those profits. I mean we were always interested in maximizing profits. Just after the investment, shit got real.
