Weekly Diversity Hate Thread
Havent seen diversity hate threads this week, so just wanted to get this thread going so we can have all the discussions organized/accessible.
For starters that we usually see, less technical interviews, easier to get the interview, networking events, etc.
Thanks almost forgot about starting one of these
WSO bros wake up and choose violence
Prospect: I hate diversity
Full-time: I hate myself
One more: lower target school admission standards
+1
Don't forget about the numerous diversity only clubs, leadership positions, bootcamps, etc to get you into the schools as well. I loved when some whore from Big4 came into my HS accounting class and gave an hour long pitch on a 2-day accounting workshop only for minorities.
Also don't forget about diversity only scholarships. Must be nice to be a black woman.
Diversity is a way for Colleges to virtue-signal while harming mismatched URMs
Sowell is based as fuck. His books are great and he's probably my favorite economist.
Also want to add Asian males get zero benefit from any programs because they are not a liberal focus group or vote at high enough levels.

Feel like this started off sarcastic, but slowly started trailing into actual anti diversity propaganda. Can't even say I'm surprised.
It's "propaganda" because you disagree with it. Even though Affirmative action is an imprecise, condescending and harmful failure that mismatches URMs with colleges they are not prepared for, from which they often flunk out off, and goes precisely against what MLK would have wanted (puts skin color and group identity before individuality and personal merit.) Imagine poor asian kids with lesser means being rejected from schools they are more than qualified for because other asian kids are killing it... and then being sold the utter nonsense that it's because they have "boring" or "imbalanced" personalities (Harvard in a nutshell.) AA is an over-correction that stems from white existential guilt (because white people who aren't even alive today did some very bad things in the past) but truth is you don't make a society fairer by removing oppression and replacing it with a new kind of oppression.
.
If you're racist, hit this comment with monkey shit right now so the WSO community can see how racist this website is.
Sounds like your hinting that we should take our beliefs and apply an anti-affirmative action stance when we’re asked to grade candidates. Fair, right?
This guy changed his comment btw. His previous comment baselessly called this entire thread racist instead of engaging in any type of constructive dialogue.
white rich dudes have various advantages over less connected poor folks and it’s been that way for 99% of the time, pls stop whining like a lil bitch that it ain’t fair, it’s never been fair
I didn’t realize that the only rich connected people in this world were white. I guess Obama’s daughters are poor schleps then.
agree, it's not about ethnic diversity. it just so happens that due to history blacks, Hispanics, and native Americas have been at a huge disadvantage in terms of wealth and connections. most diversity programs are total PR bullshit and pull in wealthy/connected people with ethnic diversity
Then work on dismantling legacy admissions in colleges and preferential hiring for connected kids, don't lower admission standards because that doesn't help anyone... Aim for meritocracy, not a lopsided system in which connected white rich kids and black kids gets a boost while every one else is left in the dust... How about poor asians and white kids? Why do rich black kids gets an advantage? It's so imprecise.
100% agree with you
