Wells Fargo Summer Financial Analyst Program
Hey Everyone,
I had a first round interview with Wells Fargo back in August for their Summer Financial Analyst Program for Summer 2015. After 2 or 3 weeks I heard back that I moved on to their final step which is a superday in SF next month. I know the superday is going to be mostly technical question, and I feel that I should not struggle with this. I just wanted some input from people who have had experiences with this program, or know someone who was. I wanted to know more about:
-Quality of the program (Workload, Challenging work?, Good people to work with?, solid feeback?, etc.)
-Starting Salary + Bonus
-Room for growth after completeting the program (I know you can go on to become a credit analyst, relationship manager, or portfolio manager) and how do these positions compensate as well
-Any other advice thay may helpful in case I land this
Any input is greatly appreciated. I have seen a few post here before about the program, but they're are mostly on the interview process. Silver bananas on deck.

Guessing your applying to this as well?
I am yes, interview at headquarters this coming Friday.
Hey,
Howd your interview go? I woould PM you but I am hoping that we can get some more action on this thread if we make this public.
Sure, I thought the interviews went well last friday, very positive vibes I got from the company. Definitely seriously considering Wells for a summer internship. I am not one of those IB or bust people on the forums, I just want to be able to get exposure to looking at a variety of companies and through the corporate banking division I think it is a great opportunity. Still trying to figure out what my future holds. Did you have yours yet?
Don't quote me on this, but I don't think this is the way to go if you're trying to get into WF's IB side. I've heard that it's tough to go from their retail side to WF Securities.
I've actually heard the opposite, that WF is actually more lenient than other Banks when it comes transition from CB to IB, especially if you are in Charlotte . Not quite sure about Comm. to IB though. I heard this from a family friend who did the FAP as well, but I do not know this guy enough to know if he is full of shit or not.
65 base, 5 sign on, and a year end bonus (about 10% of base for first year). Typically around 50-55 hours a week.
Thanks for the Info! Sounds like a good salary especially for the amount of hours. Is this salary adjusted adjustbed a bit for COL? In Charlotte the 75k all-in would take you along way, not so much in NYC or SF per say
That salary info is for NY. Some offices in smaller markets offer 60k base, so there is a slight adjustment for big cities, but it's not much.

Recently completed the first round interview for the Wells Fargo 2015 SFAP. Expecting to hear about final round soon - Has anyone else received an updated on their application?
You know...I'm not entirely sure. I'll PM you though.
just had a superday in charlotte last Friday.
.
For commercial/corporate banking?
The SFAP has positions available in both - Candidates were sent a preference survey regarding placement and locations.
what did the super day consist of? were there a lot of technical questions?
