What are the steps in the deal process at larger funds
What are the steps of the deal process at larger and mega firms with structured processes, from when a CIM is provided to the deal team up until exit?
I am going for a super day at a MM firm with ~$5b in capital that, from what I hear, has a pretty standard interview process like any other larger or mega firm. I hear they will test my knowledge of the deal process to make sure I can 'hit the ground running.'
My background is pre-MBA MC>strategy at F50>top MBA with a PE internship at a small firm. I haven't been through a full deal cycle. Only some sourcing and modeling but no investment memo writeups, committee approval process, LOI issuance, etc.
Thanks!
