What branch of banking to go in to?

Sorry for the dumb question, but I was wondering if I could get some advice and guidance about my situation from those with experience, as I'm not getting anywhere with my research.

I'm in my second year of university in the UK in a non-target Russel Group, studying economics and finance. I know I want to get into banking, but I'm not exactly sure what route to go down.

I'm okay with numbers and data, but I do not like complicated maths. I can manage, and I do so in my degree, but I think I would prefer to work in a more client-facing role rather than in the investment team for example. Also, I'd love to work with clients in a front-office, revenue generating role.

When I was younger, I wanted to get into IBD, but in the reason years I've started valuing my free time more and for that reason I have somewhat moved away from the idea of IBD, as work life balance has become important to me. I'm willing to put in the work and work long hours compared to other jobs of course, but from what I hear about IBD I don't think it's for me.

So for all these reasons, I think my ideal role would be a sales role working with clients. Recently I have started looking into sales roles in asset management, as the WLB seems to be better and you also get to work with clients.  Alternatively, it seems that  sales roles in sales and trading also offer good levels of client-interaction, but I'm not too sure about the level of technicality.

Based on this, I do somewhat like the idea of working in wealth management, partly due to the client interaction but also because of the possibility of growth, networking etc. However I've been put off by lots of people saying it's a dying industry as a result of automation. As well as the fact that compensation isn't as good.

Apologies for the random question, but if I could get any guidance into what branch of banking that may suit my goals, that would be greatly appreciated.
