I got this dress shirt from a old friend and they never told me what the shirt brad it was. It is a white and purple stripe shirt with a solid white collar. The collar has two buttons on each end that are purple with with the letters NI. The "N" behind the "I". Both the N and I are in cursive. There is a pocket with the stitched NI. Both the sleeve buttons have NI as well. On the inside there is a label that says "PrimierLux 100". On the bottom of that label it says "Fabric made in Italy by TesTa". I have goggled everything in my power and I have not found any shirts that have the buttons of NI on them or even the same inside labels.

I don't think it necessarily has a brand. TESTA is an Italian wso/">shirt fabric manufacturer.
Here is their website:

Also, another link to provide some context:

That's an ugly wso/">shirt.
seconded. Not only do I hate purple, but button down collars don't look as professional IMHO.
OP - was your friend's initials NI by any chance? You should post this thread over at styleforum.net
In a B.cas work place, a button down is the way to go if you're not wearing a tie or a blazer.
Depends IMO. With a tie I would agree, without one I almost prefer a button-down collar. It annoys me how much points/spreads go to the outside when not buttoned. And yes I iron my collars and use brass collar stays.
No kidding. OP, donate that to the first homeless man you see.
Purple stripes, High contrast collar, obvious button downs with what seems to be a monogram, seemingly boxy cut and is that a pocket I see? Where did they go right?
Send that badboy straight to the Salvation Army.
It's a Liberace.
