What can a highschool student do to get ahead?

As a sophomore in high school pursuing a career in investment banking, I figure I am already ahead of the curve in terms of having a plan. However, I'm aware that once I go to college, the competition for an investment banking job will pick up significantly. When that happens, I want to have a head start over my competition. What can I do now that will put me in that position?

Get excellent grades, crush the SAT, do something interesting in your spare time, and get into a target school.

Also, be a normal kid. Go get oral by your gender of choice, drink a couple beers with your friends, and enjoy life a little - especially summers. No need to make it a grind before the grind is imposed on you.

Not in IB but been accepted to med school. Similar pressures. In general do well in school, do a sport, try to be good in one thing ( art, tech, activism whatever you think is cool) and act on it. You'll be ahead of most people when time to apply to colleges
