What can I add to a Mcgill degree in maths and CS in order to become a quant?

Hello everyone, I've always dreamt of working in the sector of finance, aiming for hedge funds mostly, but also IB's, to work in the quantitative field.

Here's the thing, I've been accepted at McGill and chose to take a BA hons (because I hate chemistry and biology), with a first major in maths and a second one in computer science, and two minors, one in CS and another in economics or stats, I still hesitate. I know that mcgill is great but not good enough for wall street, I actually intend on doing a postgraduate degree in an Ivey league university. When time comes, I'll join my school's investment club, take part into stock pitching competitions, networking events, join a fraternity so I can make a lot of useful friends.

Now, do you have any suggestions to make? Concerning my majors maybe? Even faculty if need be? Additional things that can count in my resume?

Thanks everyone!

If you want to work as a quant, I suggest you really excel in math and computer science, and get internships at Google / Facebook or anywhere that has top engineering talent. That will get you at least looked at by quant funds. Finance knowledge or experience really isn't necessary coming out of school. Most quants I know are math/CS whizzes and not the typical investment-club and stock-pitching-competition people.

From the people I talked to you'll either need an internship at a top tech company while excelling in your math and comp sci classes or transfer to a top target. Most of the folks who broke in with only an undergrad degree were from MIT and Harvard and the likes. Otherwise get a masters or a phd.
