What can I do with my master degree?
I'm about to start my master degree in quantitative finance. I have just got a bachelor degree in finance. I have been considering trading position in S&T dept. However, I learned most mkt-making roles do not require quantitative skills and require just quick reaction and negotiation. I wonder whether those traders need to have an good idea of how the listed companies are doing or they just need to guess what the other traders are doing.
More importantly, I hope to learn if there's trading field that incorporate quantitative approach and at the same time I could trade on my market view. And do those trading roles require less quick reaction but more carefully modeling?
All comments are welcomed. Thank you all.
Quant research, trading, risk management is among the things you could do.
Is there any specific trading field that would be more likely to use the quantitative approach and thus less required in quickness?

Thanks. But I really hope to know more about trading and see if there's a field that I can fit into. I currently have no trader friend so would you mind sharing me with some advice? BTW, what are you trading?
You could become a strat for market makers/prop traders--you develop the programs they use to price options and mark their risk
