What do I need to know to be a solid Senior Associate in Asset Management? Coming from a Development Manager background
All
I have an interview with a large equity fund for an asset manager position. This position will source and underwrite deals, main contact for operating partners (developers), managing a portfolio in different life cycles of development and executing asset management strategies.
I am coming from a hardcore development background, meaning I am responsible for sourcing, underwriting, and then taking the deal through entitlements, design, construction and lease up. The position asked for someone with this type of background.
What would a person's daily job tasks be? How can someone coming from a pure development background prepare for this interview/position? Are their any good resources?
Thanks
