What do quantitative researchers actually do?
I am an experimental physics PhD candidate who is interested in a quantitative researcher role. I was recently contacted by a recruiter from a hedge fund and I would like to prepare for a possible interview. The biggest question I have right now is, what types of quantitative researchers (in hedge fund) are there? What are the specific tasks assigned? If there is an aggregate post for this kind of basic question on WSO I hope that someone point it out to me.
