What electronic to use for school/work as a finance student? (laptop, ipad, etc..)

Bought the new m1 macbook pro as it seemed really good, and I have enjoyed it thus far but I'm questioning whether an apple ecosystem will fit with my college work in case I need excel and would prefer to use a windows keyboard. Seems like it might make sense to sell this computer and get a windows laptop, but am unsure if that is necessary or if there are better options out there (desktop, ipad).

You can also do excel with windows short cuts via a virtual machine (parallels is good)—if you didn’t know this already. Otherwise if I had the choice I would probably go with something like a spectre x360 new model, maybe a dell, and people say good things about thinkpads. There have been many similar threads so check those out.
