What financial reporting sofware do you recommend?

I actually work in FP&A and this forum seemed to be the closest fit so apologies if I'm in the wrong place.

My company just implemented Anaplan as our planning/budgeting tool but the system's reporting capabilities are terrible. We're looking at financial reporting systems to supplement it but I'm not sure what's out there. Personally, I've only ever used Essbase which was great but I think it's a little outdated at this point. Our Accounting and Investor Relations teams recommended Workiva but that's more for presentation purposes and doesn't allow you to slice and dice your data very well. What financial reporting systems have you all used and what do you recommend?

I've used BPC at a enterprise-level company and had a positive experience.

I'm now using Adaptive at a smaller company. BPC is better, but it will cost a lot more and may need a team to maintain it. Adaptive is a lot cheaper and can do a basic job, but I'm personally not happy with it given my past experience to compare to.
