What happens if you don't get an internship?

Now that summer is coming to a close and 2022 is done for a lot of banks, I still don't have an offer. Do I get another regional internship for junior year and try and do full time recruiting, or should I aim for a better internship in consulting, RE as recruiting doesn't have as much of a cycle as IB.

What did people who didn't get a Junior year internship do?

if banking means a lot to you you can lateral to a top firm from like an eh firm so you're really only delaying whatever you were hoping for by a year. It's like not the end of the world at all it's just a year lol. Also like if you have tenacity, FT recruiting is viable too. Grab a PE (not like a top firm, just take the best of you can get, there's a lot of solid family offices that recruit like 2 months before Summer) internship for jr Summer and buckle down and then FT recruit. A lot of PE Megafunds who recruit for FT out of college like kids who do PE jr summer and of course so do good IBs.
