What industry moves have you seen people make 2+ years into CRE?
I'm about 2 years in my career in CRE as an Underwriter and still not sure this is the career path for me long-term, or possibly even the right industry. I'm curious, if I'm 2+ years into my career in CRE, what field could I transition into? What have you seen others do that move away from CRE? Thanks in advance!
You can make any move you really want. You’re still junior so it’s pretty easy to switch. I went from institutional acquisitions and lending to development.
Sorry if my post was confusing. I am asking what kind of roles could I pursue outside of CRE?
Unfortunately can’t really help with that. I don’t know as I’ve never left or tried to leave the industry. And neither have my friends. However, there are 100% changes you can make. People move industries all the time. You’re still young too so it probably won’t be hard to sell yourself and any you want to change.
