What is IB's outlook on a sport management degree?
How does just a sport management degree appear on an ib job application? What about sports management and a minor in business, or sport management and a minor in computer science?

Sports management would probably be seen as an "easier" degree compared to finance, and you'd have to often explain 1. why sports management degree, and 2. why IB.
The minors may help, but you'd still need a great answer to those two questions. If you play D1 athletics that would be a great tie-in, but otherwise I think that would be a less preferred major.
Walk us through why you are looking at IB given sports management?
if you're at an ivy its prob fine
if not will have some explaining to do
ivies do not have sports mgmt degrees
Wtf is sports management? No offense, but sounds like some made-up money-grab degree.
My undergrad was an SEC program with a great sports management program. It was a joke of a major that people coasted through, and then didn't get jobs in because there are relatively few jobs and a lot require a second degree (e.g. law school).
As a sport management and finance double major, it's worked out great for me. Many of the banks liked that aspect of my resume and thought it was very interesting combination.
The Finance part of that “power couple” probably helped you a bit more.
I think it be seen the same as a liberal arts degree, maybe worse.
Definitely worse. Liberal arts degrees are not looked down upon, in my experience.
IMO:
I know one guy who studied sports management and then did ib at citi. But I think he was a rare case, I haven't really heard of many sports management guys do finance
Thanks for all the responses. To those wondering, no I'm am not planning to pursue a degree in sports management. I am only asking about it because I have been researching about what clubs that I could potentially join (I am an incoming freshman at my university), and came across a sports business club, which contained mostly sports management majors. Some of the members had analyst internships under their belts, and thus, I felt inclined to ask about the major on WSO.
