What mental math score is needed for prop trading interviews?

Can someone give some guidance on mental math scores needed to be successful in prop trading interviews on the popular websites? (zetamac, rankyourbrain) There was an old post similar to this one but the answer was for a now defunct website. Thanks

Passed mental math screen for Akuna and Flow.

My stats at the time of applying:

Zetamac: 60-70

Rankyourbrain: 30-40

Tradermaths: 65-70

Spent another month doing 30 min practice everyday and now I'm at:

Z: 100+

Ryb: 55+

TM: 75+

Honestly, if you can get 50s for Zetamac, 30s for RYB, and 65+ on TM you should be good.

Honestly once you read up on a few tricks eg. (shortcuts to multiplying by 11, dividing by 9, etc.) and get better at ballparking numbers it makes it really easy.

For example:

11 x 21 = 231

Where you add the first digit (2) and second digit (1) and just put it in the tens column and now you get 231.

For 9s,

792/9 = 88

I know it’s gotta be 80 something. I’ll then take the last digit and subtract 10 from it (10-2= 8) so answer is gonna be 88. Also you know a number is divisible by 9 if you can sum all digits and you can divide by 9. The general “rule” I use for division by 9 is just what I stated earlier because if you look at the 9x multiplication chart, you’ll see this applies to all nums ( 63/9-> 10 - 3 = 7, 54/9 = 10- 4 = 6). Kinda just picked this up the more reps I put in and a pattern I kept noticing to really pick up the speed.

Also you should be able to spit out any number from a 12x12 multiplication chart makes your life easier. After that just get comfortable with your positioning of your hands when you type out your answers for the screen cause you don’t want to be a slowpoke typing shit out. I suggest right hand on num pad and left hand back space. Again, this is stuff that’s not as important but could get you a few more questions done for the screen and bump your numbers up.

passed flow traders & optiver mental math test

Zetamac: 80s

Rank ur brain: 50s expert level,

Tradingjobs.net optiver test: high 60~low 70s

But I'm sure that you wouldn't need to be thaaat high. Flow turned out to be much easier than those, Optiver quite similar but less complicated numbers than I practiced. if you get steady high 50s for zetamac, 40s for ryb expert level, you wouldn't have any problem with mental math test.
