What should I do? (need help)

Hey guys,

I am genuinely stuck in a very weird space right now. I am in a top 70 US undergrad with a 3.31 GPA. I wanted to be an actor and made some short films but due to fear of political persecution(use your imagination) I decided not to pursue it. My Mom got cancer and I had a poor first two years of school(2.8 GPA before transferring to my current school (I have historically been a really good student). Anyways I double major in Economics and Communications with 2 years left, and I do not know how I should sell myself. (I do not have any finance experience). I am quite rich so I am prob going to get a MS in finance and I am studying for the GMAT. I live in NYC. What should I do as far as applying to companies/career path etc?

Thank you guys for the serious responses and I wish you all the best of luck.

As a New Yorker myself, the first thing I would do is say is "I am quite rich", if you have to say something in terms of that, please phrase it as "I am in a good financial position". It really depends on your passion and the path you want to pursue. No one can honestly decide your career. If you have an interest, follow your heart and your passion.

I respect every political view, I have mine own but my opinion shouldn't have an influence on anyone else. Research, read up and just informed. I have best friends who are extremely conservative and liberal. Do we disagree? Of course, we do disagree but we keep it civil. You have a right to express your opinion. I have a best friend of mine and he hates all of what I think politically, I am not angry at him or have a vendetta. I am understanding a person and I know everyone will not agree.
