What should I do? Over a week since received phone call

Last week Thursday, I received a phone call from a MM bank inviting me for a phone interview for an equity research internship this summer. I was unable to pick up the phone, so an HR person left a message with her name and a contact phone number. I called back a couple hours later and left a message briefly outlining a few unavailable times during the next week and that any other time I am available. I didn't hear anything over the next 5 days, so I called the number again, and once again left a message briefly outlining my availability the following week. It's been over a week since the initial phone call.

Is this usual? Should I keep trying to call and get a hold of someone? The number left in the message was a different number than she called on, so should I try the other number? I know a couple people at this bank, and could "subtlety" suggest I am waiting to hear back on when my phone interview would be?

Or do I just need to CHILL out. And wait?

I am just nervous that my opportunity for this summer internship is slipping away....

I am sure other users will be able to give you a more concise answer. Perhaps HR have stopped conducting phone interviews/onto the latter rounds/have already filled up positions. Thus, if I was in your position I would reach out to HR (if there is a general number) and ask to be connected through to this specific rep. In addition, I would reach out to contacts that you may have at this bank and see if they can get a message through to HR - to see what the latest status is. Perhaps you have missed the boat? I can't tell without knowing what their recruitment timeline is.

As mentioned, I am sure other users will be able to provide opinions which may differ from mine.

Best of luck and let us know what the outcome is!

Bitch please, I love bananas! If you found my advice useful, hit me up with one.
