What should my game plan be?

I'm at a larger boutique/smaller middle market investment bank with 50 senior level bankers and it's own dedicated research arm as a sophomore. I will be working on an active deals, I will be able to do financial modelling, travel with the MD domestically and internationally etc. They will be starting a new live engagement a few day before I start and have enough live deals that I will be able to see deals in the beginning, middle and at closing.

I come from a non-target with a middling GPA 3.3 in a hard science. I've networked with MDs, VPs etc. My question is what should I be doing for next year. I have a good story, strong ECs etc. What should I be aiming for next year? Should I be targeting middle market banks like Piper Jaffray, Morgan Keegan, BB&T, Jefferies or do I have a real chance to be an SA at a BB? I'm applying to a few middle tier BBs where I know MDs and a few elite boutiques where the same is true. Is there any real strategy that I should be adapting?
