What Sneakers Are You Wearing?
What are y'all rocking on feet these days? Looking to get a new pair. I have a couple pairs of Ultraboosts and some Nike Epic React 55s. Last two pairs I've bought have been much more casual/lifestyle type (Nike Killshot 2 and some suede Brooks Brothers). I've had Salomons in the past which were great as well. On Clouds are everywhere now, same with Allbirds. Can't decide if I should get another pair of Ultraboosts or Reacts in a different colorway or if I should branch out. Also, is getting a pair of shoes just for the gym worth it? Typically whichever sneaker I've had the longest gets rotated into my workout pair.
Hi cozy26, yes, I'm a bot, but I'm also good looking. Hopefully, these threads help you:
I hope those threads give you a bit more insight.
Deal sledz :-)
I have a pair of kitons I got super cheap brand new somehow off YOOX that are my go to.
Sketchers that light up and play music when I walk.
fuck you HEELIES gang gang
I like barefoot running shoes like the Merrell vapor glove, or the New Balance Minimus. Always in all black.
I'd like to see your bare feet uwu ;D
Adidas Ultra boosts are by far the most comfortable and versatile sneakers I’ve ever owned. Great for running, working out or relaxing. Haven’t bought any other sneaker in about 2 years
It's been so hard to break away from the Ultraboosts. There are pretty much unlimited colorways and different collabs. I'll probably end up getting another pair.
i'm rockin the lightning mcqueen crocks.
KaChow!
Massimo Dutti if I’m wearing a casual outfit. Classy but not too pretentious
APL Techloom Pro's in all white. Look great, not the most durable. Looking to try a pair of ON Clouds next.
My college roommates wore APLs. What are the durability issues you've had?
Sole on right shoe has become unglued (cosmetic, not detrimental) in one spot and both shoes back ankle where my achilles rubs the material has started to fray and wear away. I have owned them for less than 6 months and rotate them with other pairs of shoes so this really shouldn't happen. I do occasionally wash them, though.
vans
All black crocs
just bought adidas u_path run cribs, we’ll see how they are
All white w/ green logo Reebok Club C 85
Heely's
Axel Arigato Clean 90's
Nike Air Force 1's
Peter Millar Hyperlight Glides
black AFs or GTFO
how are the arigato's in terms of quality? debating between them and a pair of svenssons.
golden goose
Just bought a pair of Yeezy boost 350 v2 Citrin. Love it!
I've never been a yeezy guy but just saw a pair of v2s on GOAT that may be worth a purchase. They're a little bit of a budget stretch though.
Me neither. Then, I saw them in a boutique store once, tried them on and was immediately sold. Ditched the store (as the price was highly elevated) and bought them on Stockx at a small premium (~5%) over retail
I exclusively wear the New Balance OMN1S. They're great for basketball, going to strip clubs, recharging after a long day at work, and sleeping
always reppin the NB 574s
Common projects achilles low tops, and a few pairs of all white converse low tops to use as beaters.
Used to rock a lot of Y-3 but not so much nowadays.
I’ve always wanted to ask if the common projects are worth it? I feel like the design language (and even typeface in some instances) is very similar to axel arigato, greats, and many others. Obviously these are very popular shoes, with many high profile patrons, so I’m probably in the minority for being skeptical
Yeah I'd definitely say they're worth it. The design and quality are great. In my opinion every similar brand just has something off about the overall shape - eg the Arigato ones just look slightly too much like they're playing up to the whole chunky sneaker BS (although I don't know how long they've been making that shoe).
400 USD is pushing into pretty expensive territory for a casual shoe so there's plenty of skepticism, but for me there's not really any true rival at a lower price point. I don't see the point in spending 200-250+ for a shoe that tries to be as good but just isn't (i.e. the shoes you see on all of the "CP alternatives" lists online). If the price is too much to justify then I would honestly say just go with some monochrome converses - you still can't beat those for some things.
why did i have to scroll this far to find CP?!

I wear Allbirds tree runners to the gym and for casual, works great for both and holds up longer than the wool runners.
how does it feel to be a liberal cuck?
Nike Zoom Fly 2 Flyknit Vans
Honestly, this is my favorite shoe I have worn. I have the 4% and Next% too, but I really just love this shoe. I have 4 pairs in different colors. It has a carbon fiber plate and can be had for $100.

For exercise, Nike Metcons
For life...nope. Maybe I have a pair of zero drop pumas?
I forgot for the actual gym. These are my favorite lifting shoes.
Can't run in them for shit though. Roll the ankle every time.
That's good to know, yeah use them for lifting and dynamic movements. Used - am now a fat POS, hoping to get back to the gym anytime this quarter.

Edward Green Chelsea boots if you're a real closer
Hard to match Thursday's quality at their price points. Great selection, a ton of options. My go-to for boots.

A lot of people are wearing the brand "On Cloud" around my neck of the woods including my MD daily.

Altra zero drops, wide toe box, function > form for this fat footed fool
Throw on a pair of boat shoes and prepare yourself for the typhoon of pussy that follows
My opinion is that it has to be standard Sperry Top-Siders or nothing, although I'd love to hear arguments for a different brand. I like the off-whites since they fade into a nice grey/tan, although I see the benefits of the medium browns. In my opinion the older the better for them, and I've worn about 4 pairs to death.
Has anyone else tried the ones with the knit canvas uppers? I've got a yellow pair that I got for a steal, and while good shoes, they just aren't quite as good as the leather ones. They do make quite a statement with the right outfit though. (Yes, I know it's a douche move, but sometimes you just want to put off that vibe)
I completely agree. Sperrys are the only brand I've ever bought and the only one I ever will. I've had the blue and grey colors and loved them both.
A lot of my buddies go with the moccasin-style, but I've personally never been a fan.
Don't apologize for being a douche. Everyone who doesn't look like a douche secretly wishes they did ;)
yeah in Charlottesville
pussy is pussy bro

Maybe it's because I'm a poor boy, but I feel better spending $100+ on boots or shoes I'd wear with a suit than sneakers. Ultra Boosts are probably as expensive as I'd go lol
I just go barefoot. My friends fucking hate it tho.
For the gym/casual - Adidas EQT Primeknite white
For basketball - KD 9s
Rich people sneakers are so fucking ugly. The only cool/different pairs are the Balenciagas. Everyone else makes those stupid “premium leather” knockoffs of timeless classics. Not worth the price. Rather get a nice 60$ pair of Stan Smith Adidas and wear them through all phases as they age nicely until I’m tired of them.
I agree!!! I wear Air Maxes, Jordan Retros, Yeezys, Balenciagas, and Pradas. I refuse to wear those sneakers people on the UES wear, that look like knock off stan smiths lol.
Presto Fly knit. Highlighter green.
Crocs.
I've been rocking all black Air-Maxes since 6th grade
Nike Free are my favorite sneakers so far
Zoom Fly 3 NYC Edition
Carbon fiber plate and fast as f*ck

off white jordan 5s :)
Beat up pair of white Adidas Ultraboosts. Got them absolutely filthy playing soccer, but still holding up really well. Terrific for running.
Rotating between Gucci Ace and Stan Smiths depending on where I’m going.
Picked up suede Louboutins earlier in 2019. The red bottoms are a real attention grabber with the ladies. GF hates it but man these are some clean shoes
I nice pair of white Reeboks (don't remember the name though).
Visvim Christo
I have been wearing yeezy boost 350 for several weeks now, it's not that I don't have any other sneakers, I am just a little weird :). As long as the upper part of the sneaker is connected to the lower one I don't see the need of buying a new pair. The sneakers that I wore the most, were a pair of Converse, it took me 4 years to decide about a new pair, very durable and comfy. The irony was not that the stiching gave up, I just lost them somewhere in the attic and now they are nowhere to be found.
New Balance 990v5
I've been wearing the same pair of these since 2017. these weren't popular in the uK until this year. got a pair of white 530s a few weeks ago.
Hell yeah. They're comfortable as hell
Etnies just to flex on posers who wear vans or Osiris.
