What Sneakers Are You Wearing?

What are y'all rocking on feet these days? Looking to get a new pair. I have a couple pairs of Ultraboosts and some Nike Epic React 55s. Last two pairs I've bought have been much more casual/lifestyle type (Nike Killshot 2 and some suede Brooks Brothers). I've had Salomons in the past which were great as well. On Clouds are everywhere now, same with Allbirds. Can't decide if I should get another pair of Ultraboosts or Reacts in a different colorway or if I should branch out. Also, is getting a pair of shoes just for the gym worth it? Typically whichever sneaker I've had the longest gets rotated into my workout pair.

Me neither. Then, I saw them in a boutique store once, tried them on and was immediately sold. Ditched the store (as the price was highly elevated) and bought them on Stockx at a small premium (~5%) over retail

I exclusively wear the New Balance OMN1S. They're great for basketball, going to strip clubs, recharging after a long day at work, and sleeping

I’m a fun guy. Obviously I love the game of basketball. I mean there’s more questions you have to ask me in order for me to tell you about myself. I'm not just gonna give you a whole spill... I mean, I don't even know where you're sitting at

Yeah I'd definitely say they're worth it. The design and quality are great. In my opinion every similar brand just has something off about the overall shape - eg the Arigato ones just look slightly too much like they're playing up to the whole chunky sneaker BS (although I don't know how long they've been making that shoe).

400 USD is pushing into pretty expensive territory for a casual shoe so there's plenty of skepticism, but for me there's not really any true rival at a lower price point. I don't see the point in spending 200-250+ for a shoe that tries to be as good but just isn't (i.e. the shoes you see on all of the "CP alternatives" lists online). If the price is too much to justify then I would honestly say just go with some monochrome converses - you still can't beat those for some things.

Honestly, this is my favorite shoe I have worn. I have the 4% and Next% too, but I really just love this shoe. I have 4 pairs in different colors. It has a carbon fiber plate and can be had for $100.

My opinion is that it has to be standard Sperry Top-Siders or nothing, although I'd love to hear arguments for a different brand. I like the off-whites since they fade into a nice grey/tan, although I see the benefits of the medium browns. In my opinion the older the better for them, and I've worn about 4 pairs to death.

Has anyone else tried the ones with the knit canvas uppers? I've got a yellow pair that I got for a steal, and while good shoes, they just aren't quite as good as the leather ones. They do make quite a statement with the right outfit though. (Yes, I know it's a douche move, but sometimes you just want to put off that vibe)

The only difference between Asset Management and Investment Research is assets. I generally see somebody I know on TV on Bloomberg/CNBC etc. once or twice a week. This sounds cool, until I remind myself that I see somebody I know on ESPN five days a week.

Rich people sneakers are so fucking ugly. The only cool/different pairs are the Balenciagas. Everyone else makes those stupid “premium leather” knockoffs of timeless classics. Not worth the price. Rather get a nice 60$ pair of Stan Smith Adidas and wear them through all phases as they age nicely until I’m tired of them.

I agree!!! I wear Air Maxes, Jordan Retros, Yeezys, Balenciagas, and Pradas. I refuse to wear those sneakers people on the UES wear, that look like knock off stan smiths lol.

I have been wearing yeezy boost 350 for several weeks now, it's not that I don't have any other sneakers, I am just a little weird :). As long as the upper part of the sneaker is connected to the lower one I don't see the need of buying a new pair. The sneakers that I wore the most, were a pair of Converse, it took me 4 years to decide about a new pair, very durable and comfy. The irony was not that the stiching gave up, I just lost them somewhere in the attic and now they are nowhere to be found.
