What to do after SA at mid-tier IB; off-cycle internship or FT?

As title states, I have a summer internship with a mid-tier IB, think HSBC/Nomura/BNPP in London. It is my first experience in IB, and I am a first-year student at a non-UK target MSc in Finance. I would like to try moving to a BB/EB for full-time after graduation and my dilemma is whether I should apply for full-time positions or a spring off-cycle internship, come summer application season? What are my chances of getting interviews for either?

I would not mind doing an extra internship to get some more experience before full-time. Of course, I will do my best to get a return offer from the summer.

Any advice for applications, timing, networking regarding this matter is appreciated.

I'm not familiar with the process, but if all else is equal why not both?

Also you have an internship, so work hard, network internally and get to know everyone and liked by everyone so that even if you don't get an offer, they can tell their friends/competition/colleagues.

Good Luck

I used to do Asia-Pacific PE (kind of like FoF). Now I do something else but happy to try and answer questions on that stuff.

Is your master one or two years? If one year, I’d suggest off cycles although most of them are already full to Jan 2020~. I’d advise you to convert and start FT in summer 2020, work hard for a year or two and then lateral to an EB/BB. Coming from a non target working full time will be your best shot as after a year you will be considered on your deals not your school.
