What to do if you don't get an offer in the age of COVID?

Currently curious as to what would happen if you don't get an offer this summer. I know at the end of the day people that dealt with this in 2007-2008 eventually got FT jobs and are now MDs and CEOs of places probably. Also with FT recruiting being tough already how exactly do you break into FT jobs at BBs or wherever if they probably wont be hiring FT until the next year. In other summers people will things like you'll be fine, you've gotten this far and as long as you want the job you'll get it eventually and happily ever after but I'm just curious as to what peoples' plans are. Will people be taking a gap year or extending their graduation?

at the end of the day it sucks, what to do? Not sure man. It's hard what can you do expect try to bounce back. There will be some FT offer slots open. Try to network and tell your alumni contacts your situation and say that you didn't get an offer bc the rate was low. Try to see if they know of anyone who is hiring. Overall, just keep your hopes up. This is not the end of your life, you are just starting and while it would be nice to start super strong it is not the end of the world if you dont.
