What to do - Set myself up for a FT position?

Any advice appreciated.

I decided only this year to commit myself to IB. This is a little late, as I am a junior with limited finance experience. I think I'm not getting interviews that I should be because of this.

Looking forward, how can I best set myself up for at FT position upon graduation? Should I try to get an unpaid ibank internship this semester, or take a gap year and try to find boutiques willing to take me as an intern?

Or should I do an extra (finance) major for an extra year and go for SA next year again?

You must must must join finance related clubs on campus to show you are interested!! Also start networking with people in IB through alum's and at career fair(s). Unpaid ibanking or boutique work your junior year is definitely worth it over say, a generic corporate finance internship (unless you can get one at a very respectable firm like GE, P&G, IBM).
