What to do - Want to make the jump for S&T

Hey guys

ive realized that i want to make the jump into sales/trading after college. the problem i have right now is that all my experience in the financial sector has been (and will be) more fundamentals based (ie financial statements)

I want to do foreign exchange, or even better, commodities.

I have always been interested by the market, and my brief exposure to trading on my personal account has been nothing short of fun.

How difficult is it to get into sales and trading? Anyone have any good references? Can someone elaborate on what exactly someone in S/T does on a daily basis besides trade? Thanks

How difficult is it to get into S&T? That depends on your background of course. Sales and trading positions look for quant skills. If you come from a Math or Engineering background that is a definite plus. I wouldn't push too hard to trade forex though..that's a very unattractive area to be in.
