I know Moelis gave 100% returns this past summer, and they're pretty much close to 100% every year. I would assume PWP and Laz also have very high returns rates, just because EB > BB in that regard. No idea about target vs non-target, but networking during internship could probably help?
As someone who interned at one of the above this past summer can say with confidence that the ones who got cut were from semi-targets/targets. I actually am from a pretty non-target school and got a return offer. But I'm just one data point in the set. Could really vary from team to team and group to group
