What to study? Transitioning from brokerage to acquisitions

Recently, I was able to secure a position at a small retail investment company as a deal guy (
I have a basic understanding of how to analyze investment opportunities, but I was wondering if you guys could chime on what I should study before starting and have any books to recommend? I would appreciate any insights or tips.

Make sure you're comfortable with the modeling/argus. Definitely doesn't hurt to be familiar with reimbursements since you will be dealing with retail. Congrats on the job btw.
No offense, but why on earth did they hire you if you have such limited experience? Are you an analyst on a team? Are you signing off on deals? What asset class?
How was the interview process? Did you know someone who worked there?
