What undergrad GPA will MBA adcomms use for me?
So, I graduated from USC with a 3.8 GPA in Philosophy. I was at USC for four years, and 3.8 GPA was a result of my work there.
However, before I went to college, in my high school freshman year, i got a D in a biology class, and had to retake it in community college where I got a C (I was just extremely lazy).
I fear I have to report the C i got in community college because not only did it count for high school credit, but also college credit (USC forced me to report it as college credit to get units, although the C didn't factor into my USC GPA).
With the "C" grade from community college factored in, my undergrad GPA drops down from a 3.8 to a 3.69 (at least according to the law school calculator). I was concerned because I know law schools force you to include community college classes from high school in their undergrad GPA calculation, so if I applied to law school, I'd have to report 3.69 instead of 3.8. It dropped down that much because the C was from a a 5 unit class, not 4.
Is it the same for MBA programs, or will they hopefully only look at the 3.8 I got from USC (hopefully)? I really hope they'll only look at the 3.8 for admissions purposes (and that'll be the GPA they report to USNews, etc.), unlike law school.
Thanks!
