What Was Your Best Investment?

Not trying to turn this into wallstreetbets and with the compliance rules many on here face, including myself, we probably won't see many who bought GME at 12 and sold at 480, but hopefully there are some interesting ones. What was your best investment? Can be a stock, crypto, real estate, a collectible, etc. Or along the lines of Warren Buffett, even an investment in yourself. Was there a skill you learned, item you purchased, etc. that has improved your life dramatically? What is a single thing you can point to in which you either saw a) great monetary returns, or b) great lifestyle returns? Could be a result of complete luck, or it doesn't even have to be crazy returns, maybe even an investment in which your thesis was just 100% correct. Let's hear em

My best investment is always myself. As you improve, so do your choices. However, these past couple of years I’ve taken many losses from my investments ranging from a failed venture, trading safety for uncertainty, relocating, etc. These losses held up a mirror for me to see my blind spots and there are still some I’m blind to. In turn, I feel that I’ve unlocked a better version of myself mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and physically.

When it comes to the market, last year I took an event-driven approach to trading and focused on pharmaceutical, oil, and gold stocks. I was fooled by random one-day movements thinking that trends were forming and I left money on the table. My emotions took control at times as well and I got greedy.

It’s funny how you can read and learn about certain things before you get into them and still, you’ll have to go through your own experiences and learn from them.

I won't talk about Tesla because anyone else could have done it.

But I currently doing a +120% performance on Société Générale (FR0000130809 GLE) and I'm pretty proud of it since everyone told me "don't buy it".

Removed the details for anonymity because I run my mouth about this stuff and know people who use this site, but I had some bangers this year. Also took some L's. Best gain was a 900% return on an investment of around 22k. I only invest in stocks/funds, but am interested in crypto too.
