Unlikely, but assuming OP is a reasonably intelligent person he can probably do whatever he wants. I made the transition from Corp Fin to a top IB in a quick second. And took that over some pretty decent MM PE offers.

That said, do whatever you feel you'll get more out of. Most likely the answer is MM IB, but don't do IB just because it's IB.

Corp dev or corp fin? If corp fin, you are clearly the exception to the rule. Did you have any prior experience? How were you at modeling?
