What's been driving Pakistan's Equity market?

Hi all,

I was reading a book the other day and it was talking about how Pakistan's (KSE100) equity market provided significant returns post 2001 when America went to war with Afghanistan, the book was slightly out dated and at the time KSE100 was trading in the 9000 region. I had a quick look today to see the KSE100 is at 23000, and has flown.

Was just wondering if anyone could provide some insight into what has been driving equities in Pakistan? Political resolutions? General improvement in Geo - Political stability?

Just curious.

Thanks
