What's up with craziness in here?

Worked in BB as well in MM banks and boutiques in London and Frankfurt. Mostly people were normal. Sure occasional nutjob but nothing major different from people in other dedicated careers such as law, medicine etc.

So why the fuck are there so many psychos on here? Do you guys just act like "normal" people on the job or does this forum just attract crazy people who don't make it into banking?

Or is the crazysness exclusive to the US (beside the stapler guy at Rothschild in Frankfurt)

Funniest

Heard he punches a stapler into your head every time you miss a comment or make a mistake on a model

Have been in finance in Frankfurt, London, NYC, Zürich, and other places. Have also lived in different countries/cities and worked in other industries.
The answer is - it is cultural, at least from how people post. After having met several WSO users IRL, I can say they don't speak or behave like they post. This is a discussion board and posts are slightly exaggerated.

But the overall culture and how people come across in general is different in the typical finance hot spots, so that does also play a role.
