When is a good time to start omitting GPA from resume?
So how long after your first job is a good amount of time to just put your alma mater and not have to include SAT's, GPA etc. My GPA isn't that bad really but I'm just wondering if I should leave it out now that I have worked full-time for a year.
If you're recruiting for PE from an IBD program, recruiters will want to know this. Generally, I would say that after 1 year in your first job you should remove it. If you are re-applying for entry-level positions maybe keep it on there but in my opinion you should remove it (especially if they are not extraordinary) when applying to new positions and provide it to them if they ask.
almost 2 months into my career. Honestly, I don't think I'll remove it until I go to B school but then again it probably isn't necessary to have at all. I'd say you can probably remove it after the first time you're promoted, although I don't see why you wouldn't leave it on for a while (especially if you did well)
Unless your GPA was extremely low or you desperately need a line, why remove it?
My group is interviewing candidates with 2-4 years of experience right now for a role and the resumes without GPAs on them raise a red flag.
Thanks for sharing. I figured post-IB jobs would still be looking at GPA.
