Where did HF managers start their career?

I've been thinking about where top hedge fund managers started their careers. I've seen many that started in commodities or S&T desks after university. However, I'm struggling to think of many that did 2-4 years at an IB before moving to hedge funds. I'd appreciate any examples or if there's any validity to my thoughts.
