Where to get M2M or Bespoke suits in NYC?
I am looking to get another suit and ideally a custom or M2M depending on quality. I heard a lot about Indochino and Black Lapel but, I am a little weary about sending in measurements and would much prefer to go into a shop/dealing with people than a website. Anyone in NYC have any suggestions or recommendations? Price range ~$1000 but, flexible.

Reviews seem pretty legit. Ill check it out. Are all suits 700? or just starting at 700? I heard of Louis Purple and Windsor Custom as well, any experience with these?
For $1,000, you could go to MySuit and get a super-140s fabric for $855 after-tax, or a super-130s for $544 (get two for your budget). Some people recommend Astor & Black but I'm not a fan. If you wanted to stretch closer to $2,000, you could look at Franco Ercole, strongly recommend. Mohan's is also another option.
RLBL has a number of models on sale right now as well, I wouldn't normally recommend paying that much for off-the-rack suiting, but you can get one of their $1,900 models for $600 less right now.
Brooks Brothers is also an option.
Martin Greenfield, you'll have to stretch your budget a bit though.
Don't make the mistake of lumping M2M in with bespoke - they are entirely different concepts. M2M suits still come off a manufacturing line in standard sizes, then they are altered to fit your measurements. Bespoke suits are hand-crafted and patterns are cut specifically to fit you. That's why M2M will consistently be cheaper than bespoke. If it's the latter you're looking for, PM me.
Ideally I am looking for bespoke but, not sure if I want to put down a couple k for one... So I am looking for any cheaper custom suits or higher quality M2M in the 1000 range
You can't get real bespoke for $1000 in NYC, and most M2M at that price point will be crap, too. That said, I would recommend Mr. Ned or Brooks Brothers (when they have their M2M sale).
False. You can get real bespoke in NYC for just a tad more than $1,000 (starting at $1,100-$1,200).
Yeah, real crap bespoke. Just because it's bespoke doesnt mean it's actually of quality.
Not true either. I've had several M2M suits made that ended up being of questionable fabric quality / imperfect fit. For $1,600, I had a super 150 fabric suit made with a perfect fit after two basted fittings. Alterations covered for life.
Mr. Ned does great work as well.
An important thing to remember is that going bespoke does not guarantee perfection in fit or drape. A quality MTM suit, if fitted truly properly, can save you hundreds relative to bespoke. A poor bespoke tailor can deliver a final fit that is worse than a talented MTM company, regardless of the number of fittings you have. It actually happens more often than you'd think.
Mr. Ned for this price range.
I have high end bespoke shoes...the best part is choosing the calf they're going to kill.
Just last month I picked up my first 140s suit, had three fittings before things worked out. I have drop-11 measurements so it's always a challenge, and given how much I was paying for this one I was insistent that it be as close to perfect as possible.
The fabric is so markedly superior to 130s, I wonder how 150s would feel.
Revisiting an old thread. Any updates reviews?
Has anyone done Sebastian Grey?
