Where to go from here? Freshman trying to break into banking.

So I’m a freshman at a west coast target school. I’m trying to get internships lined up in any way possible but am having a hard time due to how accelerated everything is. Like banks are hiring for next summer already. Luckily I was able to secure an internship at a small private equity firm in New York through a connection, but am not sure what to do about soph summer. When/where should I be looking and how do I navigate this process. Through a connection I was able to get into touch with recruiters at a few EB’s but those are for junior summer so I should be in the process now for that. I just don’t know what to do about sophomore summer.

I don't really understand what your concern is. The accelerated recruiting is for positions that you typically wouldn't get for your sophomore summer. You'll be able to get a sophomore internship the same way you got your freshman one.
