Where's Columbia?

So... Where's Columbia in this ranking? Hard to believe that Booth, Sloan, Yale, Duke and Tuck all have better PE placement than Columbia.

I just googled the 2014 employment report and it showed 2.4% for PE. VC didn't have a percentage.

outperforming in what sense? stern is like half size of Columbia. and the median pay is better at Columbia. plz next time when you make comparison, try to make a smart analysis. if you are gonna analyze stats this way, you will never make it top MBA programs.

I'm not making a comparison or conducting any sort of analysis, idiot. I'm asking a question. I'm not sure how class size or median pay are even remotely relevant here. We're (a) dealing with percentages and (b) talking about placement into a single industry i.e., not comparing considering the entire program. Thank you for your contribution, though.

Yes, CBS's PE placement is pretty weak. I'm not sure if it is self-selection or real reputation. Though most people I know in CBS target at secondary market investment instead of PE.

@kingfalcon provides correct number but I just want to add last item in CBS's IM placement:

PE: 2.4% VC: ~0% HF / Mutual Fund: 5.4% Other Investmnet Management: 5.2%

I'm not sure what "Other Investment Management" means but its pay scale is similar to HF. So I guess it is also some sorts of direct investing roles and should be counted in comparison.

Btw, Wharton's incoming class consists 12% PE/VC people. So its high PE placement is not a surprise. It just proves that the chance to get into PE without prior PE experience is really low.

honestly, i probably should not waste my time here to help you.
i dont see you ever to be admitted into any top MBA program with your intelligence.

Well it seems like we have an early frontrunner for biggest douche of the week...

I am not saying absolute number is better. But when u use percentage, u need to note the overall size. In the end, there are more people going to pe from Columbia. Also my argument is that you can't base on one stat. Compensations are also important to judge how well the placements are. My initial argument was to be more thoughtful and include more indicators. I am not arguing which school is better here.

A 3 day ban, 15 monkey shits, a flame war and an accusation of being brady all because I asked why Columbia's PE placement is weak (IN A RELATIVE SENSE).
