Which employer is more prestigious: Cravath vs. Goldman vs. PJT/CVP/EVR?

Which line on a stranger's CV would you find most impressive? And if you're not familiar with Cravath then I suppose that answers part of my question.

Feel like if you are in-the-know enough to recognize Cravath on a resume that speaks for itself, the level of pedigree required to get some of those top law firm jobs is pretty absurd

Right, but I guess that's what I'm getting at is, Is Cravath too niche to be regarded as prestigious beyond the small world of Big Law? Are people in finance familiar with any Big Law firms and, if so, do they regard any them as prestigious?

I think the answer is probably yes. If you asked someone on the (physical) street about McKinsey or Goldman Sachs there is an infinitely higher chance they recognize that name vs. a Cravath or a Wachtell, despite the fact those firms are regarded as some of the "top prestige" of the law industry

I'd say the closest analogue is probably Goldman Sachs in the sense the Cravath is old as shit, they have a unique partnership structure and process, and they perma-top the prestige rankings. But Cravath is also different because they only have one office, so they're not nearly as well-known outside of Big Law. But Cravath also doesn't make the most money, or do the most deals, or even pay the most anymore; In exchange for expansion, increasing their headcount, and revenue, they've remained shrouded in uber prestige and mystique. But I guess if I have to explain this no one outside of Big Law really knows or cares, and I suppose that sort of answers my question. :)
