Which Internships Should I Apply For?
Hey guys,
I'm a sophomore and I would like to pursue a career in investment banking. As I was searching for internship positions, I noticed that nearly all of the internship positions are only available to juniors. There are a few which are open to sophomores, but those are for small firms. I have contacted a few ex investment bankers and asked for advice, and I have received mixed responses. Some say apply for a private wealth management internship at a large bank, some say apply for an investment banking internship at a small bank, and some say apply for an internship position at a F100 company.
What do you guys recommend that I do?
Depends on what internships you've already completed. Go BB PWM if you don't have anything relevant, or go for a boutique IB (limited spots in LA, however) if you know your stuff.
